I can't add terms to the termbase directly from Trados. The "Insert term translation" stays grayed out.
I can't add terms to the termbase directly from Trados. The "Insert term translation" stays grayed out.
Please note that terms are added to the termbase by selecting them in both the source and the target text. Please see: https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000006786 and https://docs.rws.com/813470/512894/trados-studio-2021-sr1/adding-termbase-entries-with-review
If you have not yet created a translation for the term, select the source language term and, on the Home tab, select Add New Term. This displays the new termbase entry in the Termbase Viewer window. The new entry contains the source term and the target term fields are available for editing.
If the issue still persists, please check your Project settings > Language Pairs > All Language Pairs > Termbases, where you need to have at least one termbase selected. You can check out this Community post for further reference on how to set up the termbase: https://community.sdl.com/product-groups/translationproductivity/f/studio/32330/add-new-term-and-quick-add-new-term-greyed
