What is the difference between "SDL Trados Studio XXXX" and "SDL Trados Studio XXXX - Remove suite of products" under the control panel?

For Multiterm, there is Multiterm Convert, Core and Desktop, so I assume the one that says "Remove suite of products" removes all three.
However, for Trados Studio 2011/14/15/17, there is only Trados Studio 2011/14/15/17.
My only guess is "Remove suite of products" removes WorldServer Components also?

Also, I cannot think of a reason why you would want to uninstall one, but not the other.

  • About the same reason why some of us need more than 640 kB of memory ;-)
For example, if one is not a translator but a localization engineer, i.e. performs completely different tasks than a standard translator, i.e. has different needs... and simply doesn't want to have the computer cluttered by unneeded garbage. E.g. things like MultiTerm Convert - it's 2017, we do things differently and way more intuitively these days.

In any cae, I second your question actually. I guess this option is just yet another result of developer-designed user experience... not documented anywhere because no one really knows the idea behind ;-)
