Studio 2017 licence suddenly unavailable

Hi, I work with Trados on a daily basis and have been doing so for the past 18 years. Until last night I was able to use Studio 2017 Freelance Plus on my Asus Zenbook and on my Lenovo notebook. While attending an out-of-town workshop today, I realized that the Studio licence on my Zenbook was suddenly no longer available. (Needless to say that I had left my Lenovo at home and was therefore left without a working copy of Studio to use during the workshop!) I checked my SDL account. It claims that bot licences are currently being used and 0 licences are available.

I just got home from my out-of-town workshop and checked my Lenovo. The Studio licence on my Lenovo is still active but all my projects have been deleted and only a sample project is visible. I even checked an old computer where I used to run Studio 2015 up until November of last year to confirm that the Studio licence on that machine is (still) inactive. It is in fact inactive. I can therefore only account for one licence (the Lenovo notebook). The other licence is gone. How can I get Studio to work on my Zenbook again?

    You have two problems here and they are not related. First would be the missing projects which I can only guess has something to do with where Studio is looking. Do you share projects on one drive or dropbox perhaps? Or do you keep them in a different location to the default?

    On the licence. Normally you would log a case with licensing support. For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

    http://support.xl8.one

    You would then just fill in the form and submit it making sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

    However, as it's Sunday and nobody will pick this up until tomorrow I have reset the licence for you so it should be available for you to activate.
