SDL Trados Studion 2017

Question

Hello, 
 I purchased the 2015 and obatained SDL Trados Studio 2017 Freelance at the same time. I "downloaded" from the site. Now, I have a licence # but when I click on the icon SDL Trados Studio 2017, I get a window that says active license SDL Trados Studio "Trial" 29 days remaining...and a key prompting me to activate. If I use the number for Studio 2017 shown on the licenses page, does this mean that I will only have a trial version? 
 When I purchased 2015, there was an offer : If I bought 2015, I would be able to use 2017 when released. Can you please explain.

Hi Johanne, 
 This means that once you install 2017 and wish to use it you have to return your 2015 licence and generate the new one for 2017. You can still use 2015 for as long as it's on your machine, but if you uninstall it, or move to a new computer it will be gone. You will only have access to 2017 once you do this. 
 If you use the licence for Studio 2017 this should activate the full version. There's a useful wiki here that might help you - this is just the starting article, browse through them all ,there's only a few:
