Trados Studio 2017 does not install due to C++

Question

I deactivated my Trados Studio 2017 license, reformatted my computer, downloaded the executable from my account, but when I run the executable I get error message 1073740777.
Error Message: Set-up did not complete. The error is: Package "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable SP1' could not be installed. Error number:1073740777

Can you try installing the separate installers from here: 
 
c:\ProgramData\Package Cache\SDL\SDLTradosStudio2017\modules\ 
 
So maybe run them in this order: 
 
TranslationStudio5.msi 
TradosCompatibility2.msi 
WorldServerComponents.msi 
 
If you have problems with this perhaps try redownloading the installer from your account and try again.

You could also try downloading the runtime installer directly from Microsoft and run that first then try to install again.
