How do I set my options to default to same language pairs AND always load my termbase

Question

Installed SDL Trados 2017. Would like to set my options to default to same language pairs AND always load my termbase. I can't seem to find where to do that in Options. I have to set each time I create a new project.

I think you need to make your image a little larger for us to see it ;-) 
 
I think the important question here is how are you creating your projects? If you are using the single file workflow and not going through the Studio wizard for projects, then your default language pair is dictated by File -> Editor -> Languages and not your other global or project settings. 
 
It could also be that you have created a project template, and made it your default, and whenever you create a project you are using that? Perhaps check that in File -> SetUp -> Project Templates.

Thank you for the additional info. I tend to use the single file workflow. I managed to find how to set things up so that the language pairs and termbase are now always properly configured. I will explore using the wizard for projects if/when that becomes necessary. Many thanks.

 Best solution: use project templates. This way you can create settings for different purposes including QA, termbases and many more. But if you really insist in using the worst way to work with Studio via single file, then go to File -> Options and configure all settings you need there. Please bear in mind however, that changing these settings will NOT influence all already existing projects. Some small description: multifarious.filkin.com/.../
