Trados 2015 - SR3 problems

Hello,

We installed the SR3 update today and are having major problems ('unable to open database file'), TMs are not linked, Finalizing doesn't work, AutoSuggest dictionnaries cannot be linked....

There seem to be quite some threads about this, but could someone from the helpdesk maybe let me know what the quickest solution is for this problem?

    I don't think that thread is related. The initial release of SR3 was a problem and the installer was replaced. The thread you refer to relates to the original problematic installer which you hopefully don't have unless you downloaded it when it was first released and then left it on your desktop until now.

    I think, as you have identified, that your only workaround at the moment is to either move the dictionaries locally:

    gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

    Another potential solution, as the problem is related to the backslash now being an escape character when it is followed by another
    reserved character (this is a change in SQL which we need to address), would be to map your server address to a local one. That may resolve the issue I think.
