I am a user of SDL TRADOS 2007 and of SDL STUDIO 2011.
After a recent automatic update of my computers OP (Windows 7 I think) that has taken a long time to complete I cannon open and use any of these apart from in demo mode.
How can I resolve this?

After a recent automatic update of my computers OP (Windows 7 I think) that has taken a long time to complete I cannon open and use any of these apart from in demo mode. How can I resolve this? Please help asap as I have work to be done and I am stack.

Have you tried the self-service options for licensing? 
 
You can reset your own license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account for SDL Trados 2007: 
 
Use this KB article ( gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge ) and follow the instructions. 
 
And for Studio 2011 use this one: 
 
 gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge
