Can't activate my license after upgrading from studio 2017 starter to freelance edition

Question

Hi, 
 After license has expired for my studio 2017 starter edition, I bought last week the freelance version. I downloaded the SR 1 from my SDL account but I cannot activate the new license. When I enter the license number, I get a strange incomplete screen about product activation with an "!" and just "OK". When I click on "OK", I get the usual screen showing that my starter edition license has expired and that I should upgrade it...

For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

You have two options: 
 
1. Submit a case using a webform 
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset 
 
You want to use the second option.
