As you have upgraded from Studio 2014 to 2017 and you have deactivated/tried to move the license, you will no longer be able to activate Studio 2014 anymore.

All you need to do now, is work in Studio 2017 in all your projects.

Thanks for your reply Steven Whale. I meant that the 2017 version is telling me that my licence (for 2017) has expired even though I have been using it (presumably the trial version). I can't activate that version again. Any ideas on what to do? I assume that my upgrade has been processed as my 2014 licence is now showing as inactive (although I can still access it on my computer).

After looking at your account, it appears you activated the software back in December and have used both activation's.

Sometimes the license however can become corrupted through a Windows update or other security software.

You can however reset your own license (one activation only at a time) via your SDL Account

Once reset- reopen Studio. Now you will see the license activation dialogue box.

Simply copy the code from your account and activate- Now your software should be fully functional again.
