SDL Update message- TRADOSSTUDIO-5.0.5.mps

Question

Openging SDL Trados Studio 2017, a window opens advising about an updating to be installed. Installation doesn't work. I've tried many times, even on my SDL Account, where I can't find it. 
 Installation from SDL window always stops for overtiming and a message appears advising that file TradosStudio-5.0.5.mps would be available in Temporary archive of my pc, but I can't find it. 
 Do I need this updating, or can I go on easily without it?

The update is a cumulative update that should be downloaded in the background and then installed easily once you are notified. If you are having problems with this you could download the update and install manually from here: 
 
 gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge
