Dear Support Team,
I purchased a new laptop yesterday and wanted to move my SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance on it. I didn't really know how to do this, so I read many Q&A discussions on the forum. These elements gave me information about how to deactivate and activate again my license, but I did not remember how to execute the Trados and Multiterm files for them to get installed.
Now I know this was stupid, but this is what I did: I transferred the execution files from my old pc to the new one and tried to install Trados and Multiterm. At one point, it seemed to work since the Product Activation dialog box displayed, and as my license was deactivated, I activated it on this pop-up. When I clicked on Continue, this window disappeared and an other one appeared saying that Trados could not get installed.
I thought my license would be not be activated since the software was not installed. So I looked for a solution on my SDL account and I found out what to do: I downloaded Trados and Multiterm from my account, both software got installed, but when the Product Activation dialog box appeared and I entered to code, I realized I had no license left. That means, if I am right, that the license has been activated on an uninstalled Trados.
Do you have any suggestion to help me? Do I have to start all over again to have this uninstalled Trados Product Activation pop-up and deactivate it to get my license back? Is it possible for you to deactivate or "reset" my license?
Thank you in advance!
Marie
