Installing Trados 2017 on new computer

Question

Hello. I have just changed computers. How can I deactivate my Trados license on the old computer and then install it on the new one? I cannot see a way of downloading the trial version of Trados 2017 on the SDL website. Normally, I would download the trial version and then activate it.

Hi Genevieve, 
If you bought the Plus version of 2017, you can install it on 2 computers. 
If not, you're right about deactivating on one computer and activating on the new one, and downloading a demo version in the meantime. 
 
To download Studio 2017, go to Your Account, which you can access here: oos.sdl.com/.../ 
Go to Downloads, and download Studio 2017 on your new machine. It will run in demo version for 30 days. 
 
Then, when you're ready, deactivate it on your old computer by opening Studio and going to Help>Product Activation and click Deactivate. That will return the license to your account, so that you can then activate it on your new computer.
