SDL Trados Studio 2017, License Expired, AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Hello:

I have experienced this problem already 4 times over a period of 3 weeks. Last time it happened has two days ago, and just now AGAIN.

The support team has been very helpful and fast helping me resetting my license so I can activate it normally. However, I do not wish to keep experiencing this issue, that should not exist in the first place. Every time I have to spend at least 15 minutes sending a ticket and following the procedure to re-activate my license. The worst is that even though the response time from the support team is fast, every time this happens my work gets stuck for several hours.

My questions are:

Why is the license labeled as expired in the system?

Why does this keep happening (root cause)?

What is the real solution that SDL developers will give to this issue (other than the quick fix of resetting the license)?

  • Hello ,

I really appreciate the time you have taken to follow up on this thread.

I am very dissapointed because I did not experience this issue during the first 7 or 8 months I used SDL Trados Studio, and I have always use it in the same conditions regarding my network connectivity.

I challenge SDL to take actions regarding this major issue and create a good experience with all their paying customers, no matter the type of license they hold.

In the meantime, the only real "solution" I have is to submit tickets, keep sending complaints and start looking at other CAT options in the market.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Have a nice day!
