I have the same kind of problem. Hoping you can help me out!

I've tried to uninstall Trados and reinstall it. But now it seems Trados isn't fully uninstalled, because when I wan't to reinstall it, I get an error message, that there is still another version on this computer. But the only thing I have in the list of programmes is "SDL Trados 2017 SR1 - Remove suite of products" When I want to remove this, I get a similar error message, that there is another version of Trados detected and I have to uninstall it there. So I can't fully remove it and therefore I'm unable to reinstall it.

I have some screenshots but how can I send them over?

Please try to follow the below steps :

1. Download the latest version for Studio 2017 from the following link: https://downloadcentercdn.sdl.com/tp/Trados/T2017/CUs/Studio2017SR1_CU18.zip

2. Run the installer downloaded at step 1.

3. If you receive the same error message try the solution from the article you mentioned. The folder with the .msi files can be found at the following location on your computer: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\SDL\SDLTradosStudio2017_SR1\modules

You can copy that path directly in Windows explorer and hit Enter.

Thank you so much!!! The first step did help. However, I have now one more problem. When I try to start the newly installed Trados, I cannot do it, and get this message...
