"Not found" error when trying to activate Trados Studio 2017 on my laptop - subsequent problems accessing support despite having premium SMA

Hello, I've been trying to resolve a "Not found" error when trying to activate Trados Studio 2017 on my laptop. I haven't used it on here for a while, but did try it just before Christmas when I was transferring some TMs and it opened fine then. Haven't used my laptop since, so not sure what's happened...
A colleague suggested a solution in the SDL Community (community.sdl.com/.../15553 ), but I haven't been able to follow the instructions to reset my licence. I just got a message to say problem deactivating and to submit a support case. I have a premium support contract, but couldn't log into the Gateway either as the page was illegible! I've sent a help request via e-mail as that was the only solution available, but the reply said they can't help as I haven't got a contract, which I have! Aaagh! It really shouldn't be this complicated....
Please help soon as I had a knee operation on Christmas Eve, so will need to work on my laptop for a while to keep my leg raised and this is the last thing I need!
