"Not found" in Studio 2015

Hello to all, I am a Studio 2015 user. Yesterday I had a power outage and my computer stopped abruptly. When the power came back everything was working alright except Studio. No matter how I try to start it, I get a message just saying "Not found". It doesn't go as far as the "Activate license" page. I tried "repair"-ing (using the software management page), then when it still didn't work, I uninstalled it and re-downloaded a fresh copy of Studio 2015 SR3 from the SDL page (which incidentally tells me my licence is "Available", so not in use, which is distinctly odd too, since I never returned it). This too proved futile. Installing the fresh copy works perfectly, but when I want to start Studio, I still get the same "Not found" message. Has anyone of you ever had a similar problem and how did you solve it? Thank you very much.

First of all, please try running a Windows Repair of Studio, via Control Panel...

    Close all SDL applications.
Open the Control Panel via Windows button>Windows System>Control Panel:
Windows Vista/7: Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Windows 8: Right-click on the screen at bottom-left corner and choose Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.
Windows 10: Right-click on Start (Windows button) >Windows System > Control Panel > Select View by: Small Icons > Programs and Features.

Click/highlight the relevant SDL product in the list (e.g. SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1) and click Repair on the top toolbar (or in right-click context menu).

    Restart Studio.

Repeat the above for the MultiTerm components.

I periodically repair all components of MultiTerm then I repair Studio, in that order. I do this after major upgrades of SDL Studio/MultiTerm and also after big Windows automatic updates.

    All the best,
    Alison
