Studio SafeNET licensing in mixed version environment

Hi,

I'm looking for the advice regarding the implementation of network licences in the mixed Studio version environment.

I have two cases:

1st with Studio 2015 Professional and Studio 2019 Studio 2015 Professional  licences.

and

2nd with  Studio 2017 Professional and Studio 2019 Studio 2015 Professional  licences.

Diagram showing two computers, COMP1 with SDL Trados Studio 2015 Professional Network and COMP2 with SDL Trados Studio 2019 Professional Network. Both connected to SDL License Manager installed with Studio 2015, with activated licenses for both Studio 2015 and 2019.

My question are:

Can SDL Trados Studio 2019 network license be activated on and  older SDL License manager?

Can I use SDL License Manger of Studio 2017 to activate and manage SDL Trados Studio 2019 SafeNet  licensees?

What about using SDL License manager installed with SDL Trados studio 2015 – can this be used to manage/activate licenses for SDL Trados Studio 2019?

What is  the best practice in such scenarios?

Do I have to have two instances of SDL License server installed (one for each version of SDL Trados Studio) to handle licensing for Studio 2015 and Studio 2019?  Do they have to install it on two different machines?

Thank you and best regards,

Simon
