Trying to activate a license for Trados Starter Version for freelancers (SDL Trados Studio 2011_SR1_44109exe)

I am trying to activate a license for Trados Starter Version for freelancers (SDL Trados Studio 2011_SR1_44109exe). By the way I previously got a free Trial Version of Trados and I have about 14 days left.) First, I placed the Starter Version icon on my desktop. Whenever I try to activate the Starter Version, the same thing happens. First it asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?" I click "yes." Then the box comes up to install the Starter Version and it says "the contents of the package will be compressed and the the installation process will begin." I click "accept." Then it goes through the installation process and then a box comes which says "Setup was  completed successfully." I click "ok." (All this time my Trial Version that I got before, which still has 14 days,is still there. Then the boxes close (except for the Trial boxes which are still asking me to do product activation for it and no matter how mat I click "ok" on them the boxes won't go away, instead they just keep multiplying). Then I click on the Starter Version icon on my desktop and the whole process repeats, I was hoping and thinking that after activating the Starter Version, that I would then find it  working when I went to the icon on my desktop.

I must say the the whole process of using Trados is extraordinarily labyrinthine. I wish I could speak to a person. Thank you in advance fr your help.

    To activate the Starter version I suggest you first remove one of the two programs already installed in your PC (the Starter and the trial version). To do that please follow these steps:

    1. Go to your Control Panel>All programs>Remove a program and check if you have already 2 Trados Studio versions installed. If so, please remove one of them, so that they won't get in conflict with each other.

    2. Having only one Trados Studio please launch the program and when prompted to activate the license, please copy the license code -you will find it in your SDL account, under Products and Plans tab>Licenses section- and paste the code to the dialog box. This should activate the program successfully.

    3. If you don't manage to activate the license, please contact the licensing team by submitting a request in this link: 

    https://gateway.sdl.com/liveagentlicensing Choose the option on the right "Request license reset"

    And the dedicated team will help you with the activation.
