Have you checked the plugin folder?

You should find this as follows -

C:\Users\swhale\your name\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15\Plugins\Packages

If yo cannot find this folder- ensure hidden folder is visible

You can also go to your downloads folder and copy the plug into the relevant folder- then you should be able to double click and install the plugin.

Dont forget to close Studio before installing the plugin and then restart after installing.

I had already tried your solution. That's what I meant when I said I'd added the downloaded files to Packages manually. Double clicking didn't start the manager.

I did eventually get it to work. One of the things I did was to rename the Studio 15 folder, then change the name back. I also reinstalled Studio with administrator rights (which is what I had done in the first place).

I have no idea how I got it to work. It took me 5 hours.

I have the same problem, I double click, I try right click>open, the Plugin wouldn't run. It just opens a new SDL trados wiondow every time I try to run the installer, and it doesn't appear in my list of plug-ins under my add-ins tab.

I tried closing and reopening Trados, rebooted my computer numerous times. Looks like the plug in installer is the problem. Is there a way to manually run it?

I have it copied into the SDL Trados Studio>Studio15>Plugins, still doesn't work, even after rebooting several times. What else can I try?

Also, if the plug in in question needs to "run" how come it's not an .exe file format?
