Hello,
I installed Trados 2014 on a new computer and deactivated Trados on the old one. Now, when I try to activate Trados on the new computer, it says that I have to deactivate the 2011 license. I don't have this one and never had one in use, so I don't have a deactivation code, and when I click "show activation code" it opens a blank tab.
What should I do?

Try deleting the lic file and restart Studio... at least see if you have one in this location:
c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio2\Data\Studio.lic

Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately there isn't a Studio.lic file in the program files.
I also have a Studio3 folder instead of a Studio2 folder.
I wonder if this problem come be coming from an old Passolo installation. First of all can you go here and rename the lic file:
c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Passolo\[passoloXY]\Data\Passolo.lic
I'm not sure which folder passoloXY is exactly, but see if you have something like that here and rename the lic file when you find it.
If you don't find one then please try resetting your 2014 licence as it's currently in use.
Use this KB article ( gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge ) and follow the instructions.

Resetting the license also didn't help.

You do have this in your acount though, so it seem likely this is the problem given the message and the fact you own it. Are you sure you are not just hiding these folders?

If not I suggest you simply log a case and let a support engineer solve this for you. I'd be interested to know what the problem was in the end however.

You have two options:
1. Submit a case using a webform
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset
You want to use the second option and make sure that you refer to this thread so the teams can see what you have tried already.

Thank you very much for your help. I finally fixed the problem by deleting the Trados 2014 SP2 and installing SP1. On the SP1 I was able to enter my license. After that I updated SP1 to SP2.
