Client sent a package as usual but it doesn't open in SDL Trados Studio 2019. I recently had a computer crash and had to reactive licenses and download 2017 and 2019. Now the package doesn't "know" the way to 2019 but tries to open in 2017. I desinstalled all parts of 2017 and hoped to fix the problem... but even after a new start, the package can't be opened in my 2019 versoin but now suggests to open in MemoQ. I am very grateful for any suggestions.
Try running a repair installation through your wndows control panel. This should reset your file associations. This article may help (workaround 1):

Thanks. Unfortunately, I still can't open the package. I can open 2019 but I can't extract the package.
Any chance I can see the package? You can send it to pfilkin@sdl.com if this is acceptable.
Otherwise, try adding a .zip to the end of the package and see if you can unzip it? That might help you to see if there is a problem with the package itself.

I just sent an email. I doubt that there is a problem with the package as this is my main client and they are sending packages all the time. It just occurs because I installed the 2017 version again after my computer crashed. Without the 2017 version in my desktop, all packages opened without problems in 2019.

You have two options:
1. Submit a case using a webform
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset
