INSTALLATION

While working in Trados and completed nearly 10 files since morning, at the right side, SR2 UPGRADE APPEARED. I made the ihstallation. 

After installation none of Word files did not start. IT IS AN  INSTALLATION ERROR arisen by SDL itself. I am not a programmr. 

My deadline for Monday STOPPED on Saturday. I was frustrated. 

I uninstalled and reinstalled. It said Trial ended. Licence Key page in exacty QUIZ PAGE FOR CLEVER PEOPLE. 

I could not manage de-activate the licence. Bu button appears. I tried everything. 

Activation - De-activation - İnstallation ALL PROBLEM. NO WAY OUT. 

Furthermore, I purchased a new burden of Trados 2021. I do not what problems are waiting for me. 

Now Trados activation is not possible and I cannot continue my job. I AM REPENTFUL

  • 2nd option says you are an agent!  Submit case says after 2 days. 

  • Deaıctivation page is really far frdm logic rule systes. What are these ? What is the use of these codes? When user clicks on deactivation button, it should have been de-activated. What do they try to do? Lets be basic and transparant. Please change the licensing and deactivation process system. Lets change this page.

  • I just checked in your account and can see there is a licence revocation in progress. The problem may be that you have had to do this ten times in the past which might have triggered an alarm in the system... I'll check this on Monday.

    In the meantime as I am unable to help resolve this particular problem (requires SDL Support, which I am not) let's try this to help you with your issues today.

    1. I will create a temporary new licence for you

    2. Please do the following in the meantime:
      1. Reset Studio.  Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

        c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0

        So the path would become this:

        c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0_old

        If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

      2. After resetting delete this file.

        c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio15\Data\Studio.lic

    3. Then, and only after doing everything above, restart Studio and use the new activation code I will create in a few minutes.

    Hopefully this will allow you to work.  I will also log a case for you so you don't have to deal with the case submission process and the support team can help you on Monday.
