Is it possible to install plug-ins with a Studio 2021 Subscription or only with permanent licenses?

It should be possible... are you have a problem with this or just asking the question?

Hi Paul, a friend (with lots of problems in computing in general) is having this problem. He has just installed Studio 2021 via subscription. I am helping him. He doesn't speak English so he is kind of shy in asking in the community. We installed together, when he goes to the AppStore in Studio desktop, he sees "No add-ons available" (or something like that), and not the list I see in mine (I have a Freelance Plus license). Do you know if he should have a license for Subscription or only the credentials applied in the tab "Language Cloud Subscription" in the Product Activation screen? I am asking because I can see his order in the SDL site, but no License. Thank you very much for your help.
If he's using subscription you won't see a licence... it's a different type of licensing. But we should still be supporting this. So as long as he's logged into Studio he should be able to get apps.
Worth making sure he's not on W7 as this isn't supported but there is a workaround if needed.
Also...

You don't have to speak in English... I'd prefer he writes in the language he's most comfortable with and then we know who it is and can check where the problem is more easily. We are a translation company ;-) I can also log a case on his behalf if he posts.

Thank you very much. I told him about the "English" issue, still shy... I am afraid he is using W7. Can you give me this workaround or do you want to go somewhere else?
ok - the problem relates to this article from Microsoft:
There is a potential registry fix and I sent you two reg files (linked in an email to you) with the required updates for you to try with your friend.

Thank you, Paul. I will try it immediately. Have a great weekend.

It worked perfectly. with the files installed, the plug-ins were displayed. Thank you
Thanks for letting me know Cristiane Tribst. W7 is pretty old and won't be supported by Microsoft either for long, so a good time to think about upgrading.
