Since upgrading to SDL Trados Studio 2021 about two weeks ago (currently running 16.0.1.2917), the entire application has been crashing regularly (at least once a day) while working in the editor. There is no error message; the application window simply closes. I can then restart the app and continue working. Is this a known problem, and is there a fix? (I am running the app under Microsoft Windows 10 Home, version 10.0.19041 on an Intel Core i5-6600 CPU).

Any news? I am having the same problem. Terrible for my productivity :-(
This problem is almost certainly specific to you. I can't log a case for you through the community because you tagged on the back of another post instead of creating a new thread and providing at least some details of what happens for a support engineer to use.
So either create a new thread and provide details... things like what is happenning, when it happens, the full version number you have.
Or, create the case yourself using this link - gateway.sdl.com/liveagentlicensing
You have two options:
1. Submit a case using a webform
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset
You want to use the first option.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. In addition, I tried to log in the case via the Licensing and Installation button, but I'm getting "Access denied". Does anybody have a solution for that problem?
If you created a new thread we could easily log this for you. If you don't then you need to do this yourself. The error you have is most likely a permissions thing in your browser.

Marcel Valtr I also got the "Access denied" message. I had to join the SDL Community first and was then able to log the case via the Licensing and Installation button.

I've been having the same problem so this might be more than just specific to certain user(s). I'm not sure either how to resolve this issue.
Problem solved, it seems. My computer was slowing down in general so I downloaded a tool to clean up old software and remove old registry entries. Old Studio versions were among the dinosaurs that were removed and now my latest Studio iteration seems to be running without a problem and my system faster. So, if you're having the same issue and no longer need the older versions, removing them and cleaning up your registry might be the solution, too.
I removed older Studio versions and deleted old registry items. Haven't had Studio crashing since then.
