"One or more errors occurred." - message in MultiTerm when adding/deleting new entries in a Termbase

Hello!

I am receiving an error message in MultiTerm every time when I add/ delete or even modify an entry.

I receive some support from SDL live chat, an their recommendation I did repair and I did also Reset. Even after I did the reset I couldn´t add new entries working on the same Termbase or creating a new one.

When I´m adding new entries directly from SDL Trados is working, but when I´m editing in MultiTerms is not working.

Screenshot of Trados Studio MultiTerm with an error message displayed at the bottom indicating an issue with adding, deleting, or modifying an entry.

When I´m trying to create a new Termbase I receive this message:

Error message popup in Trados Studio MultiTerm when trying to save a new Termbase, stating insufficient permissions to save in the selected path.

I go and I save the Termbase where the computer tell me to, and it allows me to do it only in User, which is only one user, also the admin.

Trados Studio MultiTerm interface showing a successful addition of a new entry directly from SDL Trados without any error messages.

Is there a location Path setting I´m not aware of? Why I cannot use any other folder for saving Termbase?

Thanks a lot!

  • Hello ,

Are you able to save other files/resources to your chosen path(s)? or is the problem only with Termbase?

If the problem only occurs with your TB's please close MultiTerm and then reopen (right click- run as administrator)

Screenshot showing the right-click context menu for SDL MultiTerm 2021 Desktop with the option 'Run as administrator' highlighted.

Now try to create/edit the termbase.

If the problem persists- Close MultiTerm- go to Documents - Right-Click the folder- 'Properties' and check you have full access

Screenshot of the 'Properties' window for the Documents folder, with the 'Security' tab open showing the user's permissions, including 'Full control' checked.

And now try with MultiTerm again.

Reoranizing the Termbase and/or changing the layout can also resolve some issues.
