Unable to use Multiterm 2019 Desktop

Somehow I can't use Multiterm 2019 Desktop. I'm afraid it hasn't been installed properly and I don't know what to do. I tried replacing the MultiTerm15 folder and repairing the program but it didn't work. Also, I'm using different user accounts on my laptop. When I try to remove the “Remove suite of products” it says I can’t. How can I get Multiterm working again (without causing similar issues with Studio!)

Control Panel Programs list showing Trados Studio 2019 SR2 and MultiTerm Desktop 2019 installed with version numbers and installation dates.

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'A connection to MultiTerm server cannot be established' with an 'OK' button.

  • Hi Paul, thanks! After I reinstalled MultiTerm, it worked again. However, I do have some other difficulties concerning Trados. Can I drop that one here? I'm not sure, but I hope you'll read this.

Yesterday I got an activtaion code error. As I'm having some problems with my laptop, I decided to reset the activation code, reset my Windows pc (while keeping the files) and reinstall Trados again. After the reset (of both the code and the laptop) I was able to work again although I found out that my laptop still has some issues, which makes me want to fully reset it. Now when I start Trados (I need to return the license before resetting the laptop, of course) it says I'm using the trial version of Trados while my account says my license code is used... I did some research and learned that this is a common thing. However, this is really frustrating because although I can use the software, I can't return the licence through Trados. It says I'm using the trial version so there is nothing to return. Should I reset the licence again from my SDL Account online? I really want to do the reset this aternoon because I'll shortly need my laptop again. Please help!
