Crashed computer

Question

Hi I had a computer crash and had to erase and reload WIndows. I don't have SDL on the computer anymore. I need to free my 2017 licence so that I can download the software again (since it says it's in use in my SDL account). I cannot follow the instructions to "reset" licence because 2017 doesn't have a "reset my licence" button. The instructions on how to release offline are too complicated and I can't follow them. 
 I am not ready to buy 2021 yet because I see on the forum there are multiple licence and other issues with it. 
 Can SDL just release the licence so that I can use it again ? thanks !

 When Sorin said "Please open a new thread for this so we can log a ticket to have your license reset." she meant a new thread (i.e. Question or Discussion0 in a new page, not a new post as you've just done. See below... 
 Click on the +New box top right of your screen: 
 
 Then add a title at the top and repeat your request in the box below 
 
 The reason you need to start a new thread is that the RWS staff can only issue one case per thread.
