Problems with Multiterm in Student version

Error message in Trados Studio stating 'An error occurred while attempting to add a term to the termbase.' with an 'OK' button.
Error message in Trados Studio when viewing term details stating 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' with an 'OK' button.

Dear all

I teach SDL at the University of Antwerp and we received free student licenses for our students. When they are working in Studio with a termbase added to their project, they cannot Add or Quick Add terms to their termbase (see screenshot 1)

Also, when they want to view the term details of a term (from Studio) they get another error message (see screenshot 2).

is there anything they can do to solve the problem?

Also - and maybe more problematic - one of the students de-installed Multiterm to see if that could fix the problem, but now she always gets the message that a higher version of Multiterm is installed and she has to remove it. We removed that version from the 'Apps' throuh the Windows settings and when we conduct a search we cannot find any SDL product anymore, so we don't know what else we could do.

I hope you have seen these error messages before and can help us out.

Many thanks in advance,

Gert Vercauteren
