Thanks! I'm not finding the solution to my problem. I'm afraid to uninstall Studio 2017 because I've read several comments that it cannot be installed later. I really need to solve this out; I cannot create new projects, nor save files. Thanks!

Sometimes the teams get a little busy, I expect you'll be contacted on Monday.  In the meantime why not try this:

1. rename this file:
   c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2017\Project Templates\Default.sdltpl
   to
   c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2017\Project Templates\Default.sdltpl.old
   
   
2. then run a repair as explained in this KB article:
