I tried to submit a help request ticket to deactivate a licence, but the links that I usually follow led me here instead. So, I mindlessly posted my request here, alongside the licence number that I wanted deactivated.

Realizing my mistake, I tried to delete my post, but it didn't seem to be an option, so I deleted the contents of the post instead.

This is actually the correct place, but please don't post personal details or licence codes.  Since you have to login to post we know who you are so it's enough to explain the problem and tell us what version of the software you're using so we don't have to waste time looking it up.
