Language Cloud problems

I have tried to setup/login to language cloud. When I try to login via Trados Studio, I am told no account exists. 

Error message in SDL Language Cloud Sign In window stating 'Your SDL ID is not linked to any SDL Language Cloud account. Create an account or contact your Language Cloud account administrator.' with Sign out, OK, and Help buttons visible.

When I click the Language Cloud and SDL Trados Live link in the Welcome screen, I get the following message:

What do I do?

It tells me to contact support, but when I try, it tells me I do not have a support contract. I just purchased this version and don't know how an account was created as I have never used Language Cloud. I don't feel I should have to buy a support contract for a problem like this.
