I am planning to upgrade from SDL Trados Studio 2015 Freelance Plus to SDL Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus. I intend to buy a new computer since mine is too old to be upgraded.
Do I need to reinstall SDL Trados Studio 2015 on my new computer before proceeding to the upgrade to the new version?
Or the only thing I have to do is manually deactivate the 2015 license on my old computer and install SDL Trados Studio 2021 on my new device when ready?

If you still want to use Studio 2015 on the new computer then you need to install it and activate it. If not, you can install Studio 2021 directly on the new computer, process the license upgrade and activate it.

So thanks to the Freelance licenses, I can install Studio 2021 on my new computer, even if I never installed Studio 2015 on this new computer, right?

Yes, you are right. You also don`t have to deactivate Studio 2015 on the old computer in order to process the upgrade.
