Activating an expired license that should not have expired

Dear All,

I have been using SDL Trados Studio 2017 Freelance version for a couple of years. In April 2020 I bought an upgrade to Studio 2019 Freelance, but never got around to activate it.

Recently, my laptop broke (display) and I bought a new one. While waiting for the new laptop, I activated the 2019 upgrade online. IT guys in the dealership cloned my old laptop onto the new one, because the disk was not damaged. However, Trados is not working, it says that my license expired (and the license I bought has no expiration date). I cannot activate it with the 2017 version activation code, nor with the 2019 version activation code.

When I try activating with the 2017 version activation code, I receive this message: "Activation failed. Login for this product has been restricted. Contact the system administrator for assistance."

I am the system administrator for my laptop. I tried reversing the laptop to an earlier date, but it did not help.

When I try activating with the 2019 version activation code, I receive this message: "Activation failed. Invalid Product key. Make sure that the product key belongs to the intended product or product version."

On my SDL account I have the 2019 version available.

I would very much appreciate help with reactivating my Trados, this has been already going on for too long, and I need it for work.

Kind regards from Bosnia and Herzegovina,

Katarina
