Reinstallation of my existing SDL Trados Studio 2017 and licensing support

Hello, my Microsoft Windows was recently reinstalled and as a result I lost my Trados Studio 2017. I've now managed to reinstall Trados but it's not functioning at all and I cannot get a Gateway ticket to help me and fix the problem to get Trados up & running again. Please let me know what would be the best solution to this problem. I'm willing to get an upgrade to a later version, if the price is affordable, and if it'll solve the problem. I look forward to hearing from you again soon. Many thanks in advance.

Susana Delves.

  • Hello Steven, I have followed your instructions and copied and pasted the license number in the activate box of the Trados. I tried to run a test by setting up a new project but it's failed. I get a message telling me that "an error occurred whilst trying to determine the file version" in the box  "New Project", at the very beginning of the process of setting up a new project. I'd be happy to send you a screenshot with this message but this  Community page does not seem to have this feature. Please can anyone me advise or perhaps do share my screen to get to the bottom of it. At the moment I am trying to resolve this issue before I purchase the Upgrade. I feel if the current version (2017) is not operational before I acquire and download the new version Trados may not work. This is urgent. Thanks, Steven.
