I think it would be very unusual to see such a drop in performance when switching to a more powerful machine.

Where are the files stored? Locally or Cloud/external drive?

Is Studio/'MultiTerm added to the Antivirus 'exceptions' list?

Its also a good idea to make sure the Operating System and Drivers are all updated (which is often not the case with new machines)

Is Studio/'MultiTerm added to the Antivirus 'exceptions' list? No antivirus is installed.

Do you have any other hints where the bottle neck may be?
