  • Hi,

We have such issues on several occasions and regular intervals.

    1. Either the translator did not insert or inserted the wrong (structure) tag, like a footnote tag. Check the sdlxliff in Studio using F8 to see if a structure tag is missing/incorrect. Formatting tags like bold, italic, etc. should not be the issue.

    2. If a translator used another CAT tool, the structure of the sdlxliff might be different. In that case, we use the original SDLXLIFF and PerfectMatch it with the one that we got from the external translator.

    3. If that does not work, we create a TM and update it with the translated sdlxliff. We then take the original SDLXLIFF and pretranslated it with that TM.

At one of these steps, it will be possible to generate the target without MS Word complaining.

    Hope it helps.
