Due to various technical problems I need to delete Trados 21 from my work computer and then reinstall it. Will I have to deactivate my licence before I delete Trados (and reactivate it after the reinstallation) or is that unneccessary?

Yes, please deactivate your license before uninstalling Studio and reactivate it after the reinstallation.
