You can process the upgrade from 2017 to 2021 without deactivating/uninstalling the 2017 version. This is an exception for Freelance license and you can refer to this article for more details: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039975

Thank you for getting back to me, but I need to also know where to find my license. It's not appearing in my SDL Account. I have an order number, but I don't want to post it on the forum. How can I send it to you so you can check?
Also the link you just sent doesn't include instructions to upgrade from 2017 to 2021. Can you please send those instructions (or confirm that they are identical to the upgrade instructions from 2017 to 2019)?

Hello,
You can see your 2017 license in your SDL Account.under Products & Plans > Licenses.The 2021 license will also be visible there but only after you process the upgrade.
In your case the upgrade needs to be done in 2 steps, from 2017 to 2019 and then from 2019 to 2021.
