Licencing Studio 2019 with licence from 2021

Question

Hello 
 I have installed Studio 2021 and kept Studio 2019. All went well for a few days and then I got a message &ldquo;Failed to initialize view 'simplestartview&rdquo; every time I opened 2019 and I could not open it anymore at all. I looked up for solutions on the Internet and tried many things but to no avail. I then decided to uninstall 2019 because there seem to be no way out. Now when I open 2019, it asks me for a licence. I typed the Studio 2021 licence but it does not work. 
 Could you let me know how I can activate Studio 2019 now? Both are running on the same computer and I have the Professional version.

 You should not have to actually licence 2019 at all. As long as 2021 is licenced and working, and both 2019 and 2021 are on the same machine, then 2019 should be able to pick up its licence from 2021 automatically. Try deactivating 2021, the delete these files if they exist: 
 c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\Data\Studio.lic 
 c:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio15\Data\Studio.lic 
 Then restart 2021 only and licence it. If that works start 2019 and don't provide any codes. 
 If that doesn't help I'll engage support to assist you.
