My Trados Studio 2017 won't run.

Screenshot of Trados Studio installation window with options for repairing or removing the program, and Task Manager showing Trados Studio running with no CPU usage.DOCX

Screenshot of Windows taskbar with Trados Studio icon highlighted, showing a blank, dark grey preview window when hovered over.

Well, according to Task Manager, it's running. But when I hover my cursor over the icon in the taskbar where I would expect to see the full Trados screen appear in miniature (see screenshots in attached Word.doc) - the mini-image is blank (uniform dark grey). So I guess it's not the multi-screen situation, where it's running but displayed on the second screen (which is absent at the moment).

Having tried several fixes, I eventually resorted to deleting and reinstalling the software (a freshly downloaded .exe), all to no avail: same problem, same symptoms. Seems like it might be an operating system problem (Windows 10), but I'm stumped.

Everything had been working fine. The problem started when I switched the display language from French to English, but any causal relationship seems implausible.

Has anyone else encountered this? And if so, how does one go about fixing it?

Thanks!
