But I agree... it would be useful to see this when you do the reset so you are clearly advised about the implications of what you are doing.

You log a case in the licensing and installation forum and the support team will do this for you... so this very forum!  The licensing team are always pretty quick.

I`ve reset your license, please try to activate it on the new laptop and let me know if any issues.

For future reference, the deactivation can be done from Studio > Help tab > Product activation as described in this article: https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039271

The "Reset license" option from your SDL account should be used only when the normal deactivation cannot be performed for some reason.

Thanks a lot, it worked, my Studio is activated.

I did try to deactivate Studio the regular way the first time, but it didn't work, so I resorted to License Reset - and then it became a habit.
