Question

Hi 
 I had an issue with SDL 2021, I was told I could not open it due to an alignemnt issue. 
 I tried to deinstall it and all previous versions but it apepars it did not work. 
 Ihave now the message : 
 Setup did not complete. The erros is setup has detected a higher version of this product already installed. 
 No way to deinstall it from the programs where as it seems I manage to delete it from the C Programs 86 stuff 
 Any tip?

In case it may help someone, the issue was linked to an app, split merger. Once I uninstalled it, everything was fine ,:)

 Try the solution in this KB:

 I know it says 2017 and 2019, but use this location instead as you have 2021: 
 c:\ProgramData\Package Cache\SDL\SDLTradosStudio2021SR1\Modules\ 
 And if you had the power pack installed you'll need these as well: 
 c:\ProgramData\Package Cache\SDL\StudioPowerPack2021\Modules\ 
 If that doesn't help you I'll log a case on your behalf so a support engineer can assist.

 It may be worth looking at studioViews. It will do everything the split and merge application did and a lot more! It's also more robust compared to split and merge which is a very old app "shoe horned" into more recent versions of Trados Studio..
