Migrating a License to a new machine

Hello, 
 
 I have to migrate a license of my Trados 2017 Freelance Plus to a new laptop computer, as the older one is not working anymore (I can't even turn ot on anymore). 
 
 Later, I'd like to upgrade my license to Trados 2021. 
 
 How should I proceed? Kind regards,

 deactivate your licence from the help menu 
 install 2017 onto the new machine 
 activate it from the help menu 
 
 If you don't have access to your old machine then you can reset your license by using the Self Service option in your MySDL account. Use this KB article ( gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge ) and follow the instructions.
