Note that the first order was for a Freelance version but we realized we could not use it on a domain joined workstation so we have negotiated with sales for the order to be transferred to a Pro licence but I am pretty sure there was an error in the transfer as the activation code remained the same and when activated generates a Freelance product with the following error:
I think the activation code is simply linked to the wrong licence but licencing confirmed it is SDL Trados Pro 2021.
Followed these steps provided to me to retry activation:
Please use the following steps in order to perform activation again.
- (Make sure that Studio is closed while performing these changes)
- * Go this path: <C:\ProgramData\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\Data>
- * Rename the Studio.lic file (ex. old_Studio.lic)
- * Start Studio using the "Run as Administrator' option (right click on the Studio icon and select Run as Admin).
It worked for a minute but I had to install the plugin for Antidote and as soon as I logged in the same error message about the Freelance licence appears (shuts off SDL due to being connected to a domain)
Was instructed to try fresh uninstall.
The uninstall option does not work I get this error:
When searching on your forums, it says to open a ticket with support for this error. I would prefer not going that route since we have been on this issue for three days already, is there a work around for this error? Can I just use an uninstaller like Revo? Or do I have to manually delete all the files found here:

Multiterm has been removed successfully though.
