The 2nd License of my SDL Trados Studio 2019 Freelance Plus version runs in demo mode on my laptop and cannot be used. It use to work before on laptop. No changes were made to laptop. Laptop ha snot been used for a while (3-4 months). 2nd license cannot be re-activated using valid activation code.

If you check the Licenses section of your SDL account, both your activations are in use, so you can't activate the license again, without deactivating it first! You can reset the license from the Licenses section of your SDL account:

Please look for the activation date, and reset 1 activation from your SDL account. When you have the activation available, you can use the license activation key on your 2nd device.

Hello Adrian, thanks for your quick reply. I am wondering, because i have used both licenses for about 1 year or even more on the 2 same devices. How come that all of a sudden one license does not recognize an already known device anymore? So license numbers are different from activation code right?

In some cases, like the one you mentioned (laptop not used for a while), the license activation code may not be recognized by the system. So, it might ask you to activate Trados Studio (since you haven't open it for a while), but the license code is already in use. In this case, the license reset is necessary, so you can properly activate the product again. The license activation code/number is the combination of letters of numbers you can see in your account, just above SDL Trados Studio 2019 Freelance Plus.
