My University has just bought three licenses for Trados and Multi Term. Trying to download the ftp files that Trados sent me links for. None of my browsers will recognise them. Have tried Chrome, Edge, Firefox and IE. What should I do?

Have you tried simply logging into the University account and downloading from there? Presumably your University isn't part of the Academic Partner Program?

Hello Paul,
Thanks for responding... No, the University is not part of the Academic Partner Programme and there is presently no University Trados account to log into. Only a week ago, the Language Centre within the University of Almeria (Spain) purchased three Trados licenses, no one here has used the programme before. A Trados operator in Paris (Nadege) sent my coordinator an email with the license no.s and two executive file download links (ftp://downloadcenter.sdl.com/T2021/Studio/CUs/CU1/SDLTradosStudio2021_16.0.1.2917.exe and ftp://downloadcenter.sdl.com/T2021/MultiTerm/RTM/SDLMultiTermDesktop2021_158.exe ). That's all we have. For some reason, my browsers won't recognize the links (I've tried on my main and back up laptops , and tried all available browsers). On investigating, I've read that current browsers no longer support Ftp files. Someone suggested Filezilla, which I downloaded, but have no way to get to the RWS/SDL download centre site to access the files.
Everyone here is now on holiday ( as is the above-mentioned operator, until 1th Aug). I can wait until then but would like to familiarize myself with Trados before a rush of work arrives on Sept. 1st. I've used a very simple program up until now (Fluency Now by Western Standard), so what I see of Trados is rather imposing. Anyway. if you have any other ideas, I'd appreciate you letting me know. Again, many thanks.
Simon
Typo in above email. The operator's away until 15th Aug, which is quite a long time to wait.
There is an account of course because otherwise you could not even have the licences. I have found the account and there are two admins on the account so I'll make them aware of your difficulties. We don't support ftp anymore as it was a security risk in these more modern times so the software should be downloaded through the account.
There is a workaround you could use and that is to take the latest version of the software from the update KB:
