I will try and let you know if it has helped.

I started to rename the folders as suggested in the link you sent.

If I try to rename C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio, I get the message that this folder is in use and that I cannot rename it.

Please try to restart your computer and try again. If the same thing happens try to turn off One Drive as the SDL Trados Studio folder could try to sync with One Drive.

Though I don't see the C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\SDL\ProjectApi folder, it worked!

I have exactly the same problem as Mirjam:
