I have been experiencing one and the same error when trying to download Trados Studio 2014 onto new computers. The problem appears at the beginning of the installation process when the installation wizard tries to install Visual C++ 2005 redistributable SP2. An installation error appears and the installation process terminates:

An error occurred downloading the following resource:
downloadcentre.sdl.com/.../vcredist_x86.exe

Newer versions of Trados can easily be installed, but I also have a couple of unused 2014 licenses and they do not seem to work on any +/- new PC.

Can anybody help with this?
