How to upgrade from Trados Studio 2017 to Trados Studio 2021

Dear Team,

Few weeks ago, I purchased an Upgrade from SDL Trados Studio 2017 Freelance Plus to SDL Trados Studio 2021 Freelance Plus.

In order to do this upgrading process as smoothly as possible, I ask you about concerning literature and / or programs to do this automatically.

On Trados 2017 I installed about 44 add ins and have hundreds of finished projects. How to proceed with them for getting access on Trados 2021 ?

I did not this upgrade earlier because I needed Trados for a very big translation and it is not wise to "change horses from your cart during a trip".

 After you install and activate Studio 2021 you can open the project in Studio 2021 from their current location from your computer or you can use this App to migrate them: https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/studio-migration-utility/481/ 
 Note: you can upgrade your license without deactivating it from Studio 2017. This way you can still use Studio 2017 in parallel with Studio 2021. 
 Regarding the plugins, you need to download the correct version of the plugins for Studio 2021 version as most probably the ones for Studio 2017 will not match the new version.
